Kari Burchett, O.D. - Eyecare Associates of Osawatomie

Dr. Kari Burchett has been part of Eyecare Associates since 2005, bringing warmth, expertise, and a deep commitment to her patients. She earned her Doctor of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, where she graduated valedictorian of her class. Before that, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Pittsburg State University, where she was a proud member of the Honors College and played point guard for the Women’s Basketball Team.

Dr. Burchett’s areas of special interest include family eye care, pediatrics, ocular pathology, urgent eye care, and contact lenses. A native of Parsons, Kansas, she loves providing personalized, hometown care in the friendly community of Osawatomie.

Outside the office, Dr. Burchett and her husband, Justin—Assistant Superintendent for USD 368—are dedicated parents to their two sons, Jack and Max. As a family, they love spending time outdoors, whether they’re hiking, snow skiing, traveling or backpacking. They’ve reached the highest points in 27 states and are always planning their next adventure!

Dr. Burchett is actively involved in her community and profession. She’s a member of the American Board of Optometry, American Optometric Association, Kansas Optometric Association, and serves as a See to Learn Provider. She’s also a proud member of the Osawatomie Rotary Club and enjoys coaching youth soccer and basketball over the years.
