Dr. Kari Burchett has been in practice with Eyecare Associates since 2005 after earning her Doctor of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee where she was recognized as class valedictorian. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Pittsburg State University where she was a member of the Honors College from 1997-2001 and was a point guard for the Women’s Basketball Team for the 1997-1998 season. Her areas of special interest include family eye care, pediatrics, ocular pathology, urgent eye care and contact lenses.A native of Parsons, KS, Dr. Burchett enjoys living and working in the small town atmosphere of Osawatomie. Her husband, Justin, is the principal at Osawatomie High School and the Assistant Superintendant for USD 367 schools. In their spare time, you will find them spending time with their sons, Jack and Max, or planning their next hike or summit of another state highpoint. They enjoy just about any type of outdoor adventure, including snow skiing, backpacking and paddleboarding.
Dr. Burchett is a member of the American Board of Optometry, American Optometric Association, Kansas Optometric Association, See to Learn Provider, Osawatomie Rotary Club and USD 367 Recreation Board.
